Color: Awakening the Child Within is a delightful space odyssey fantasy novel written for both the young and the young at heart. Seven galactic pioneers, each named after a different frequency of visible light and each with their own distinctive personality traits, come to our known universe in their spacecraft. Their journey and discoveries parallel those of humans, and in the process they learn how positive will can change the nature of reality itself. Black-and-white illustrations intersperse this fantastically written, upbeat adventure filled with magic and wonder."

"Color photons called "Pioneers" travel through the universe in order to add colour, vibrancy, uniqueness and spirit to emerging humanity on Earth...... If you are interested in a fantasy journey of how life, human sentience and free will are brought to a desolate, barren but emerging Earth via the efforts of space travelers - the colour Pioneers - then this is the book for you. It would fit well in a fantasy section of an intermediate or secondary school library."

"Like Tolkien's Silmarillion, Color: Awakening the Child Within is full of fantastical allegory. A creation myth disguised as a children's story for adults, "Color' is loaded with symbolism and profound lessons for everyday living."

This book's strengths and weakness lie in that word cross - genre. This one is a little bit childrens (perhaps ages ten to fifteen) but adults might find intriguing information in it, too. It is also a little bit of a learning device to teach the science of color. It is sci-fi and poetry. It also comes with imaginative black and white illustrations. That it does all these things, that the characters are named after the colors and that those colors indicate certain psychological character traits, that it describes the making of the universe and more. Those things also make it highly creative and original..."
