Our modern style of life is different from that of our ancient predecessors in one unique way - we live our lives inside. We spend most of our time in closed quarters, be it in our offices, stores, factories, theatres or homes. We place our children into classrooms for the most part of their days, since they're early years. We travel in closed vehicles, often with shaded glass, to block the sunlight, or commute and shop entirely under ground. We became concerned over the ozone hole in our atmosphere and its potential harmful consequences, so we readily vacated sunny beaches and often replace them with timed sessions in man-made light-emitting pods.
Ever since the early humans discovered they can make fire at will, the importance of the sunlight was made relative. Nowadays, we routinely substitute daylight with various types of illumination of our own making - candle light, gas light, light from incandescent bulbs or fluorescent tubes. Our lives hence offer minimal exposure to sunlight. When we do venture outside, we continue to shield ourselves from the sole source of life in universe - sunlight - by wearing hats and long sleeves, by applying sunscreens and staying in the shade as much as possible. We consciously chose to live an unnatural life in artificial surroundings. We even keep our pets indoors and administer outings to them in carefully planned doses. Only a hundred years ago most people spent 75% of their time outside; today the reverse applies. Yet neither we nor our animal companions were made for such an existence.
Full spectrum light, at the proper intensity, is essential to the production of vitamin D in our skin and the metabolism of calcium; the amount calcium in the system regulates not only our bones, but also our nerves and the thinking process. Nevertheless, we do not readily associate ailments and disorders with our confined lifestyle. Only recently have we identified one - seasonal affective disorder (SAD) - and only in a certain percentage of the population (statistics show that 10 to 25% of North Americans occasionally exhibit symptoms of SAD). Meanwhile, we are faced with myriad conditions, afflictions and diseases for which the Western allopathic medicine offers no compelling explanation or treatment. Chronic anaemia, unexplained organ failures,
the surge of cancers regardless of age and gender, mental illnesses, depression in all of its modalities and forms - all these signals are diagnosed, recorded and addressed solely as independent events in the lives of individuals (or as statistical data) not as symptoms of a single, planetary condition. Medical doctors always look at ill people, to establish what is wrong with them; they do not study the healthy population to understand and define the essence of health.
If we were to diagnose this global condition, we would inevitably conclude that it has to do with the gap between our lifestyle and our lives themselves. Few among us live the life that they always desired. Most of us are busy just coping with the technology around us - the technology, which is supposed to make our lives easier. Instead of communicating, we process saved voice and e-mail messages from people we failed to connect to; we work long hours to provide sustenance for our families which we then rarely get to see; we use the little free time we have left to attend time management courses and learn how to distil some more time in which to be busy. Most of us do not fully live our lives - we duly service them instead.
Many people seek consolation, meaning or just temporary respite in ancient philosophies and beliefs. Complex and spiritual ideas, such as clairvoyance, karma or reincarnation, have entered the mainstream and become trendy catch words, often exchanged lightly in fleeting encounters with acquaintances. Ancient philosophies, however, originated in a time when technology was simple and did not have an upper hand over its users; they do not instantly offer quick-fix formulas which so many of us are looking for. As with artificial substitutes for sunlight, we fool ourselves into mimicking a meaningful life while routinely switching between options which completely exclude one other: the career, our social life, quality time with kids etc.
Meanwhile, at its own slow pace, modern technology attains step by step those same ideas and concepts our predecessors intuitively defined centuries ago. Building on capital discoveries made by several generations of scientists, present-day biophysics established without a shadow of a doubt that all living creatures are beings of light. Coded broadcasts of faint light energy which all our cells steadily emit are now known to be the way information is communicated within a living organism or indeed between similar biological units and systems. Naturally, our bodies do not use incandescent or fluorescent devices; to survive, they require the color energy carried by light, which they emit for internal and external communication.
Even nutritional value of foods is at last better understood, thanks to the research into biophoton emission conducted by Dr. Fritz-Albert Popp's team at the International Institute of Biophysics in
Kaiserslautern in Germany. Nourishment, they found, is affected by the light content; the ability of foods to store light directly determines their nutritional value. For example, hydroponically grown plants and their products retain only half of the nutrients found in their organically-grown counterparts, with some 80% of nutrients being preserved in conventionally grown produce treated with chemical fertilizers. The more oils are refined, for instance, the less light they are able to conserve and impart. We indeed are what we eat - we are beings of light, light being color energy.
Light, when shone through a prism, splits and reveals itself through seven specific color categories ranging from red, having the longest wavelength to violet, being the shortest this is our visible color spectrum. It is a perfect mirror image of our rainbow. Have you ever wondered why we get so excited, feel like a child again and marvel so much at a rainbow after a Spring shower? Perhaps it is a reflection of our own true inner beauty, our inner source of light. Whether we admit it or not, at a spiritual level, we all feel our inner child within and will chase rainbows until we find our pot of gold outside ourselves, which, of course, doesnt exist. Perhaps we need to discover our rainbow located within each and every one of us at a soul/heart level. When we find that pot of gold within, we will not need to search anymore. Youll know, it is an all encompassing, complete inner knowing. Color can assist you in achieving the unimaginable....but for now, lets focus on how color therapy can assist in the physical healing.
Each of the various hues, shades or tints of color emit specific energy frequencies. The theory that stands behind color light healing (color therapy) is to capture specific color rays or beams of these various wavelengths of light and reintroduce them into the physical body for cellular communication to re-structure, re-position, re-energize, re-nourish, re-organize, re-produce, re-balance, re-harmonize, re-adjust and re-align the body as a complete multi-dimensional matrix for optimal health in a 24/7 2100 century existence.
This fact is the premise of a whole new approach to health and well-being, combining ideas of esoteric science, the ancient Chinese model of medicine with the ability of modern technology to
produce powerful, yet simple-to-use machines. In this type of color therapy, the health professional focuses colored beams of light onto specific locations on the client's body - locations which correspond to the traditional acupuncture points on the skin or other established grid systems based on kabalistic concepts, astrology and numerology. This technique was perfected
in Europe and around the world through extensive and research in the last five decades of the twentieth century and is based on case studies performed by early pioneers of using color in healing. The therapist employs the material properties of colors (their respective frequencies) to achieve potential therapeutic effects on the physical, emotional and spiritual level. The therapist can be a either a trained medical professional or a trained color therapy enthusiast and sessions can be performed almost anywhere, including clinics, hospitals or in the comfort of person's own home.
How do we achieve optimum effects of color light?
Each colored beam, generated by a simple, non invasive hand held color-ray illuminator, such as LumaLight 2000, introduces a specific frequency (based on a specific protocol), through the tonation of color light onto the skin. The light beam does not necessarily need to touch the skin. The information encoded in the color frequency then begins it journey along the body's meridian channels (etheric energy highways) and is absorbed into the system by the entire organism. Color light replenishes the body's natural energy supply on all levels, specifically with those frequencies, i.e.colors, which went "missing" through various pathological causes.
The targeted color light ray gives a spark that moves the blocked energy and thus can relieve any pain the person feels, but it isn't simply "nudging" the stagnant energy; it is also changing (transmuting) the character of the energy it encounters. Located throughout the body, from head toe, are highly efficient etheric memory storage facilities that can be programmed for eternity. Therefore it comes as no surprise that emotional traumas, physical injuries and psychological scars remain with us for decades, although the entire cell count in the area has long ago been replaced by new cells. These memory computer chips are localized knots of "scrambled" energy code, encrypted as a result of sudden trauma or shock, that we may or may not know still exists somewhere in our mind-body-soul matrix. If a physical symptoms creeps up on us for no apparent reason had you sweep an important lifes issue under the rug 20 or 30 years ago? Therefore it stands to reason, forgotten past memories and skeletons stashed away quietly in tightly sealed closets eventually begin to rattle as physical symptoms, mental clutter, depression and confusion.
Pure color frequencies shone onto the body's countless energy portals "reprogram" and "unscramble" these harmful information mind/body set patterns. Thus they not only can eliminate physical and emotional pain almost instantly, but also prevent it from recurring, while revitalizing the body. Think of it as reformatting your energetic software i.e. fine-tuning the body to the pure frequencies which are universal and thus restoring harmony, which is health. The eminently non-invasive character of this therapeutic method facilitates self-healing and self discovery of a lifetime.
Each individual illness or disease has a unique frequency of its own and manifests itself differently in each person, depending upon their constitution and lifes energetic experiences. Color light therapy can be used on its own or as an enhancement to all forms of therapy. It's a safe non-invasive technique, allowing the person to self-direct the process when necessary. The body will stop taking in the color energy by overflow by providing a signal.
There are thousands of protocols in color light therapy available today. The greatest feature of this method of healing is the fact that it enables the recipients to look at their lives and discover the trauma or conflict that caused a physical disturbance in their bodies. Once they clear that mind pattern, the physical symptoms may disappear. People can benefit from light and color daily, from relaxation to rejuvenation, to relief of acute pain, to the treatment of chronic ailments, to emotional and spiritual makeovers. And during this time of year, an energy boost in low-light seasons to prevent seasonal affective disorder from setting in.
All these positive benefits and aspects also can happen simultaneously, but there is no need
for the person to rely on his or her rational mind to decipher them. In fact, in healing with color light, the analytical mind has no role and a lot of the clearing is done through a peaceful sleep state, when the cells have a chance to release traumatic memory. Imagine paving the way to a healthier future through colorful, vivid dreams.
On one level, these concepts are bold and novel. On other levels, they have been with us since time immemorial. The language we all use every day contains indications of unconscious grasp of the power of colors. We all occasionally get "the blues" when we are sad, or "see red" when we are angry, or "see pink days ahead" when we are feeling hopeful. When people are sick,
they can look green. This is because they need the green color to create balance in their lives. Indeed, the countless studies and research papers has consistently proven specific effects individual colors have on our minds, bodies and spirit. There are volumes of books which have been written on the psychological and therapeutic effects of colors, the following are but a few example of many in each category;
Psychological and therapeutic effects of colors
Red is the symbol of love and anger and of life itself; with its penetration power, which is the highest of all colors, it is recommended for treatment of impeded circulation, muscles and heart. It
generates enthusiasm and arouses passion and has a cheering effect.
Orange symbolizes joy and happiness and helps raise the spirit; hence it is recommended for cases involving depression and fear. It promotes a healthy appetite and increases the sex drive. It is used for hormonal cleansing and in menstrual difficulties. It's a bright, warm source of encouragement for all aspects of life.
Yellow is a clear purifying color, which stimulates clarity of intellect, as well as toxin processing and elimination. It can help with learning disabilities and with strengthening of the endocrine functions.
Green is a cooling, sedating color, which helps reduce swellings of joints and tissues; it calms the body and helps reduce inflammations. It's the color of the relaxed heart.
Turquoise is the color for mental relaxation and tackling embedded psychological barriers. It acts as a tonifier and can help regulate imbalances in the lung-large intestine system. It is a color which facilitates spiritual growth.
Blue, a cool color, has a calming effect, inside as well as on the outside. It is very helpful in treating sleep disorders and headaches, yet also regulates elastic tissues in the organism. It helps in all kinds of cramps and can have an anti-bacterial effect.
Violet promotes awareness and consciousness. It increases effects of meditation. It promotes proper functioning of the lymphatic system and is very helpful in times of menopause. It is the color for neutralizing emotional wounds and for spiritual growth.
Obviously, all these colors, plus the invisible ones, are blended in the full-spectrum light which encompasses the world around us. When we are exposed to it, we absorb as much of each frequency, each color, as our individual systems need, through our eyes and, more so, through our skin. The benefits of such lighting can:
have a positive effect on morale;
enhance productivity and performance in the workplace, potentially reducing absenteeism;
reduce the frequency and severity of migraines and other headaches, reduction of eye strain, dry skin, PMS-related symptoms, fatigue and irritability;
slow down of the aging process;
act as a prevention of memory loss, reduced allergic reactions and dermatitis,
diminished retinal aging;
have a positive effect on energy levels and solving minor eating and sleeping disorders;
reduce the occurrence of seasonal affective disorder (SAD);
influence the hypothalamus gland which is responsible for our hormonal system, appetite, reproductive system. It also monitors and regulates a woman's "biological clock";
at the proper intensity, is essential to the production of vitamin D and the metabolism of calcium;
build and strengthen our immune system;
can reduce the frequency and severity of migraines, other headaches, eye strain, dry skin, PMS as well as bouts of fatigue, irritability and unusually high stress;
Our lifestyle, as well as the atmospheric changes in the ozone layer, do not permit us long exposure to the natural sunlight. Positive effects and experiences with color therapy have developed a market place for high quality color therapy illuminators and units for home and professional use. In the 21 st century, a color ray illuminator will be a standard companion in all homes and health care facilities. It has been noted that a common cold or flu might be warded off with one to two 5-minute tonations of color. The modern technology has been developing more soft laser applications devices and protocols to bring the body back to its state of wellness; why not consider the color therapy instead, as preventative medicine for rejuvenation?
Remember, it is our birthright to enjoy a pain-free existence; our natural state of being. We should not have to spend a lifetime striving to achieve a balanced state of health and happiness. We have been given tools, from time immemorial, to do our own home work our lifes lessons. The more we can do to reacquaint ourselves with natural healing tools in our lives and the more we fuel our spiritual light body with color energy, illness and diseases will have a hard time finding a nesting place in our physical bodies.
And we can spend more time doing what we do best, enjoying the journey and process of life. This is the simple yet profound essence of color therapy - it doesn't take a lot of work. It's time to recognize physical pain as a symptom of the body's cry for help as pain is the last link of a very long chain of events. Isnt time we shed some light on that little voice inside and discover our own inner rainbow. World wide, more and more people are discovering the power of color science as a healing modality, the faster we will approach the time when our modern science will confidently absorb and except color light therapy as one of the keys to optimum health.
